would just like to thank all the portadown youth players who played for annagh utd on sat.a great performace from a team so young. getting to the semi final and losing to the eventual winners loughgall on penalities. thanks to paul rae for managing the team.

id just like to congratulate all the lads on a great year that culminated on friday night with the prizes being handed out. i just wish a set up like this existed when we were that age as these lads are being given a great grounding in the game and how to behave in a sporting manner. they showed at the annagh on saturday that they can compete with anyone and when defeated they took it in the right manner.

heres to next season , i know of one wee lad who just cant wait.

well done to all the u 10's prize winners at the prize night on friday just to let everyone know that all the prizes were very close and well done to the boys at the annagh on saturday brilliant effort winning the community shield and the plate i would also like to thank Geoff for giving me the opportunity to help him this season with a great bunch of lads here's looking to the future.

I would on behalf of Portadown FC Youth like to pass on my condolences to Peter Smyth and the family circle on the death of his mother Amanda.

i have just read with sadness of the death of bailey russell, although we dont know him, its always sad when a young child dies, please accept the condolences of all club teams of shawhead football club in scotland. rip bailey.

To all my team mates on the Under 10's we were brill in my land (Scot land) Enjoyed the football especially my winning goal against Cumnock Juniors and winning our group. Had a fun time,playing football,hanging out with my mates,and going to the chinese!!!!!! Mixing our drinks.

I would just like to congratulate Paul Rea for his teams performance against us (Ards) on Saturday. Maybe you didn't get the three points but you couldn't surely have asked for anymore than the boys gave you. We've probably too much to do now but I'm sure we'll play our part in the outcome.
To replace Christian was a very tough task but you've did that with lots of hard work well done mate. Must give credit where due.

Brilliant today boys, wrong team won. Unlucky with the two offside decisions. If they had of went our way we would have won. Massive improvement on discipline, almost perfect today. Now you can see what you can do if you concentrate on the football instead of arguing with the referee. Keep it up for the rest of the season lads. All your coaches are very proud of you all today.

was hard luck on sat against loughgall u11's the years difference proved a bit to much but what a great second half from everyone think we deserved a bit more out of the match as we were the better team in the second half just needed more luck in front of goal and we could have had a better score keep it up we are getting stronger every week.

Thanks to all for a great nite's craic on Saturday Night! Geoff and I (although we got plenty of sleep) were shattered yesterday and have just about recovered- however it was worth it!!!!! Thanks also to the boys who attended, cause they were the ones who behaved themselves and made the night a success!!!!

wot a great nite at corcrain community centre last nite hope everyone who attended had a fun nite. football lasted into the small hours and it was about 3 am before all the lads were asleep that included geoff who fell fast asleep well before the rest of the minders, you looked cosy in your double sleeping bag while the rest of tried to make do with anything we could get our hands on well done to everybody who turned up and to the two tournament winners ac milan who won the champions league and spain who won the world cup cant wait to the next event to have more craic. a special thank to Angela and the rest of the organising commity for another successful event well done.

Well done lads tonight again.Considering this was the teams first go at 11 aside they done brilliantly,superb!Our fitness was very good and everyone put the effort in.After going 2-0 to come back and win 5-4 showed real character.The midfield of Scott Cowan(two superb strikes),James Gould,Cain Murtagh and Jonny Farrell ran the game for us.Chris Hall made some great saves to keep us in it too.Well done to all the team :)

I would just like to thank everyone on behalf of Paul, myself, Brian and everyone connected with the U10,s for the wonderful turn out at the semi final.It was fantastic to see the line so full of not just families but friends as well ! I think the boys gave all they had but playing three massive games in five days was just too much. We are very proud of all of them and i think they were acredit to our club in the way they accepted defeat! Best of luck to SOPYC in the final as they were the better side on the night. BUT we will learn from this and we will be back next year !!!!!

With reference to comments about the under ten team. Alan has been 100% behind this team as both a parent first and as a "coach". he was asked to take on this role which he did with out a second thought. It is true there is a lot of work behind the scenes, for all those in this position, but they do it for the kids and the good of the team. Parental backing is vital for all of the "coaches" and the support of our parents for their team,every Saturday,was never in any doubt. The bottom line is the good of the kids should be priority.

Please lets draw this matter about these last two comments to a close. Lets remember we are all one club and everyone should be working for the betterment of each team. Taking pot shots at each other will not help anyone. As for excluding comments from the site, one parent was expressing a view and I do not want to be accused of dictatorship by stopping people from expressing views. Maybe if people were prepared to add the names this would stop any rows.

as one of the parents who turn up every week to support Alan and the under tens, i feel these comments by this ill informed parent can do nothing but cause division and dismay among what is a well supported team,or would they rather see the team break up ! these type of comments should be excluded from the site,

just want to say that Alan Ruddell has been doing a great job with his team.All the coaches and managers are doing their part for portadown youth voluntry and it not just the turning up at training and matches they do there is alot of behind the scenes work such as phone calls etc that has to be done I think that some of the parents in Alan`s team should realise this and be grateful for what he does for them and what is going on between some of them is a disgrace. The draw for the semi final will take place on Monday 26th March in Belfast. The date for the match has been provisionally booked as Saturday 14th April and the venue will be decided when the opponents are known. The other teams are Aquinas, St. Oliver Plunketts Youth Club & Rosario all from the South Belfast Youth League. All details on the match will be available on the website as soon as they are known.

Great effort from the U'9's on saturday.it took a match to get used to the pitch but after that normal service resumed.See u all on tuesday night and don't forget about Thursday night at Annagh Utd 5.45 sharp.

Would like to remind everyone that table quiz is on saturday night 3rd March @8pm. There will be a light super provided, a raffle on the night and also music to finish off the evening. Raffle prizes include microwave oven, Burberry perfum, Bottle of wine and some kitchen items. We still have lots more prizes to come.We have worked hard to get this event organised in aid of Ayr trip, so get your babysitters sorted and support your childs team on the night! Look forward to seeing you all there.

Another great display from Paul,s U10s today. The 1st half was probably the best of the season so far ! Well done lads ! With a couple of other results going our way, it ended up an even better day. Even i was happy !!!!!!!! Editor's note: Wayne is happy, ther must be 50 moons in the sky.

Just looking at what Paul Rae was sayin there on the 2nd of Feb an have to say i agree. For a start the onli thing we hear is about how much muni we ow each week. and to be honest its jus getting on every1s nerves. there is never anything bought for us and never even any suport from any other team. something needs done as the team isnt happy at all these days.

i attended the under 10 cup matchat loughgall on saturday.A great display from a team playing with confidence, flair, pace and even more potential to come.

With regards to the comments concerning Ricky Steenson. I made a genuine mistake by saying he has left the club and I have rectified any news stories to that effect. I apologise to Ricky and Patsy if I have caused them any distress.

i would just like to say that ricky steenson attended todays under 11 match and would like to praise the way the boys played and good luck for the rest of the season also i would like to say i have not left the club i helped start the club and remain a dedicated supporter of the under 11s and i am assistant chairman.

The quiz is a fundraiser for Ayr as far as I know.Not sure about Cork though?

bd result for us on saturday, should really of been a game in which we won easily, but football is like that. Need a performance from the old days to lift us for n.i cup on sat.

Some cracking perfoemances from Portadown Youth today. I can only speak for Paul,s U10,s who gave probably their best performance of the season with a display of super football against a top side. All 13 boys were a credit to our club .

Fair point parent,considering our boys beat them 3-0 two weeks ago and there was no gloating from our players but they are children and do get carried away sometimes.

U9's some highs and lows on Saturday but all players done there bit and "well done"to all. The only disappointing issue was the jeering and chanting coming from the Tandragee Youth squad after the last match which they beat our U9's 3-0 none of our young players should be exposed to this verbal bullying on or off the pitch

unlucky lads on saturday good performances all around from the under 11s i might not be in training on tuesday because iv picked up an enjury on my wee toe and i can hardly walk im limping well done under 11s we deserve 2 win next week c ya sooon by.
