13 May 2008 - Northern Ireland Schools FA Cup Final

The excitment in two of Portadown's schools is ready to reach fever pitch this Thursday evening with the Northern Ireland Schools FA Cup Final. This country wide football tournament reaches its climax with two teams that are only separated by literally a couple of hundred metres as both Hart Memorial Primary School and Millington Primary School have reached the final. This final is also a feather in the cap for our club as over half the players that will be taking to the field all play their league football with Portadown FC Youth.

Both teams will be sporting a full set of new Hummel kits for the occassion. The Hart will show off their new yellow kit sponsored by former pupil, local sports shop owner and Portadown FC Youth Academy Director Nigel Armstrong of NA Sports and Millington will run out in their new green kit sponsored by local businessman Chris White of Whitehaven Office Supplies, who co-incidently also sponsors our 1996 Mid Ulster Youth League team.

The match itself will take place on Thursday 15th May 2008 at Tandragee Rovers ground on the Madden Road in Tandragee. Kick off will be at 7pm. The admission cost will be £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children. So everyone go along and cheer on the boys.
