8/12/09 - 2010 Tournament
The opening date for applications for the 2010 Portadown FC Youth Soccer Festival is drawing near. Everything is in place for the tournament bar the actual date, the provisional date for the tournament is Saturday 22nd May (3 weeks earlier). The actual date should be confirmed before Christmas. The biggest change people will see with the tournament is that it is being staged at the home stadium of our parent club, Portadown FC.
We will be accepting applications from Monday 4th January 2010 and teams will have the opportunity to apply online from that date. Any team wishing to enter should email the club at portsyouth@yahoo.co.uk to register an interest and we will forward an online application on the opening date. If you would prefer to use the conventional paper form of application please let us know and we will send you a paper application to allow you to return it in time for the opening date. We would recommend that teams apply to enter as soon as possible from the opening date as we expect the 15 available spaces to fill up very quickly, we have already had teams from Scotland and the Republic of Ireland register an interest, so be quick!
The cost of entry will be £35.00/€40.00 per team.

Unfortunately Airdrie United have informed the club that due to unforseen circumstances they have been forced to withdraw from the tournament. We are very sad to see this as we were looking forward to welcoming them as our first ever international participants. We have moved quickly though to fill the vacancy and Glentoran will now replace Airdrie United in the draw.
