25th November 2007 - Newry City Withdraw
This weekend saw Newry City withdraw from this league. Newry were sitting bottom without a point after losing their opening 9 matches. Those matches included both teams from our club. As a result all the matches that Newry City played in were declared void and each team that played them have lost three points. Sadly, this leaves the Colts in the bottom position in the league after having their only league win this season wiped from the records.
30th October 2007 - N.I.B.F.A. Cup
This team have been given a home game in the first round of this season's F.A. Cup. They face South Belfast Youth League side, Carryduff Colts on Saturday 8th December.
28th August 2007 - Confirmation Of Team's Name
It has been confirmed that this team will play under the name of Portadown FC Colts for this season. The reason for this is we already had a team playing in this league and this means one team had to change their name.
22nd May 2007 - 1993 Team Lose Lisburn League Status
The 1993 team led by Nigel Davison & Graham Mitchell have lost their Lisburn League status for the 2007/08 season. As a result the team has applied to the Mid Ulster Youth League for inclusion in their league. This follows a season that saw the team finish bottom of the league with only 4 wins & 2 draws from 30 matches. Their place in the Lisburn League was awarded to Linfield. As the club already has a team of 1993's playing in the Mid Ulster Youth League, inclusion means that one of the two teams will have to operate under a different name like the two Dungannon Utd teams do.
