Team News

6th April 2008 - Runners Up In Scotland

Myles' U12 team travelled to Scotland to take part in this season's Easter & Spring Festival of Football. Having finished as runners up in their first year at the tournament and winners last year they decided to try their hand at the 11-a-side tournament. To do this the had to enter the U13 tournament and remained unbeaten right up to the last match, unfortunately they lost their last match but still finished 2nd in their tournament.

13th November 2007 - Player Leaves

Jamie Curran has left Myles' team and has joined their derby rivals, Portadown Boys. This Portadown Boys team is run by Myles' former assistant, Val Russell.

30th October 2007 - N.I.B.F.A. Cup

The U12's make their first appearance in the F.A. Cup with an away tie to Rosario from the South Belfast Youth League. The tie is to be played on Saturday 8th December.

17th September 2007 - Ports Win Friendly

This evening Portadown FC Youth U12's played local rivals Loughgall and won the match 7 - 2 with 5 goals from Jamie Smith and 2 from Dylan Byrne. This game was given the full Irish League treatment as the match was played on the Lakeview Park pitch under floodlights and both teams were named over the public address system before the game. This was good preparation as both teams have been matched to play each other in the league in the coming weeks. A big thank you from Portadown FC Youth to Loughgall for their amazing hospitality for the evening.

3rd September 2007 - Player Changes

As Myles' team was moving from 7-a-side to full 11-a-side football this seaon they have had to bring in new players. They have brought in Reagan McIlveen, Corey Blair, Dylan Byrne & Gavin Steele. They have also lost one player to Portadown Boys, Callum Russell.
