6th April - Boys Win First Major Tournament

The boys travelled to Ayr, Scotland to take part in their first major tournament and won it with an impressive record. They won 5 and drew 1 of their six matches in their group scoring 19 goals and conceding 1, an own goal, along the way. They were the only team in their group to remain unbeaten throughout the tournament.

20th November - Umbro X Diamond Challenge

Craig Taylor took part in the Umbro Diamond Challenge at the Olympia Leisure Centre, Belfast on 4th November 2007 along with Scott Cowan & James Sloan, all of whom are Portadown FC Youth players.  All participants who took part on the day were divided into teams within the Under 10s or Under 14s section.  The team in which Craig was part of, won the challenge in the Under 10s section under the leadership of Chris Scannell, Cliftonville FC, who was their team leader for the day.  All participants received a certificate of attendance and a sports holdall, courtesy of Umbro.  This event was well organised and enjoyed by all.

26th September - Umbro Diamond X Challenge

During IFA Nutty Krust summer soccer school at Kernan Playing Fields, Keith Gibson, IFA Grassroots Development Officer for Craigavon presented Craig Taylor with the Umbro Player of the Week which qualifies him to take part in the Umbro Diamond Challenge. This brings a total of three Portadown FC Youth players reaching the finals with Scott Cowan & James Sloan winning their places from the Kilkeel soccer school.

1st September - NIBFA Festival of Football, Mallusk

On the 1st September 2007 the team took part in the NIBFA Festival in Mallusk. The team played six matches in total, conceding only 3 goals all day and that was in the match against North Belfast.

22nd August - Hillsborough Boys Tournament

On the 4th August the team travelled to Suffolk FC in Belfast to take part in the inaugural Hillsborough Mini Soccer Tournament. This was the boys first taste of any competitive football and they performed well. They won their qualifying group with 4 wins & 1 draw. They beat Newbridge in the semi finals and faced Linfield side, Brazilian Soccer who they beat in the qualifying stages, in the final. The team had progressed to this stage without even conceding a goal but sadly Brazilian Soccer won the final 2 - 1.
